The thunder storms that we’ve had this week have been pretty violent. Not as bad as the big hail storm we had, back in March. But the lightning has been loud and we lost our house electricity twice this week already. I have to figure that lightning is taking out the electricity at the power company’s sub stations down on Stewart’s Ferry Road, because the whole neighborhood goes out.
Of course, every time the electricity goes off in the house, all the clocks start flashing and need to be reset. this is more than just the alarm clock by the bed. The clock on the microwave, the oven, the kitchen radio and VCR all need to be reset. The only thing worse is when we have the daylight savings time change and then I have to set the three wall clocks that run on batteries.
